Surya Packers & Movers · Ranchi

Ranchi to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune are our seven busiest intercity routes. Each has a different distance, transit time, typical cost range and seasonal demand pattern. This guide puts them side by side so you can plan realistically – whichever city you are headed to.

🗺
Seven major routes from Ranchi – each with its own rhythm.

Route-by-Route Comparison

Ranchi to Kolkata (~400 km)

Our fastest and most frequent intercity route. Transit: 1–2 days. Part-load departures near-daily. A 2BHK household typically runs ₹18,000–₹38,000 depending on volume and season. See Ranchi to Kolkata route details.

Ranchi to Patna (~330 km)

Shorter than Kolkata, similarly frequent departures. Transit: 1–2 days. 2BHK typically ₹16,000–₹34,000. Popular for government and PSU transfers. See Ranchi to Patna route details.

Ranchi to Delhi (~1,300 km)

Our busiest long-distance corridor – job transfers, education moves and business relocations. Transit: 3–5 days. 2BHK typically ₹32,000–₹55,000. Both part-load and full-truck options run with good frequency. See Ranchi to Delhi route details.

Ranchi to Mumbai (~1,750 km)

Longest of our high-frequency routes. Transit: 4–6 days. 2BHK typically ₹38,000–₹62,000. Part-load runs 1–2 times weekly; full-truck available on demand. See Ranchi to Mumbai route details.

Ranchi to Bangalore (~1,900 km)

IT-sector transfers dominate this route. Transit: 5–7 days. 2BHK typically ₹40,000–₹65,000. See Ranchi to Bangalore route details.

Ranchi to Hyderabad (~1,500 km)

Transit: 4–6 days. 2BHK typically ₹35,000–₹58,000. See Ranchi to Hyderabad route details.

Ranchi to Chennai (~2,000 km)

Our longest regular route. Transit: 5–7 days. 2BHK typically ₹42,000–₹68,000. See Ranchi to Chennai route details.

Ranchi to Pune (~1,650 km)

Transit: 4–6 days. 2BHK typically ₹37,000–₹60,000. See Ranchi to Pune route details.

📊
Distance drives both cost and transit time – but part-load vs full-truck matters more.

What Actually Drives the Price Difference

Distance is the obvious factor, but it is not the only one. Route frequency matters just as much: Kolkata and Patna have near-daily part-load departures because demand is consistently high, which keeps per-consignment cost down. Chennai and Bangalore have lower frequency, so each truck run carries higher per-consignment overhead.

The choice between part-load and full-truck – covered fully in our part-load vs full-truck guide – changes the price by 30–50% on every one of these routes, often more than the distance itself.

Transit Time Reality Check

The transit windows above assume normal conditions. Add 1–2 days during monsoon (see our monsoon moving guide), and add 1 day during peak season (April–June, month-ends) when trucks run fuller routes with more stops.

Vehicle Transport Alongside Household Goods

If you are also shipping a car or bike, our car transport and bike transport services run on the same corridors, usually arriving 1–2 days after household goods due to carrier scheduling. Real cost breakdowns are in our car transport cost guide and bike transport cost guide.

Which Route Is "Cheapest Per Kilometre"?

Short routes (Kolkata, Patna) have the lowest absolute cost but the highest cost-per-kilometre, because fixed costs (labour, base handling) do not scale down with distance. Long routes (Chennai, Bangalore) have the lowest cost-per-kilometre because the fixed cost is spread across more distance. Neither framing matters much in practice – what matters is your actual total cost, which the ranges above give you.

Coordinator tip: If your destination city is not on this list – Lucknow, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad and others are also regular routes for us – call for a specific quote. Pricing follows the same logic: distance, frequency, and part-load vs full-truck choice.

Documentation Is Identical Across Every Route

Regardless of destination, every intercity move includes a written quote, GST tax invoice, consignment note and packing list – the paperwork covered in our transfer reimbursement guide. IBA approval applies to every route equally.
